Gender Reveal Cupcakes

Here they are:

Turned out pretty well if you ask me!  Thank you to my friend Kathleen for helping me to make them.  Really it was more like she made them and I just sort of watched her make them.  We made two different colors of icing–yellow (gender neutral) for the top, and we topped them with sprinkles and King Cake Babies–and pink for the inside.  To make the pink icing, we mixed in raspberry jam and some pink gel food coloring.  It was a lot of fun to make them, and I think our family will get a kick out of them.  They’re also quite tasty if you ask me!

So the plan is this: tomorrow evening we have dinner reservations at a Thai Restaurant in town, and then afterward we will have the cupcakes to reveal the gender to everyone.
