So I finally am finding the time to sit down and write a blog post. As a new mom, there is not much time to do frivolous things like that anymore since my day is consumed with changing diapers, breastfeeding, playing with and putting baby Julia to sleep. It’s hard to believe that on Monday she will be 8 weeks old already! In some ways, the past 7 and a half weeks have gone by at a snail’s pace and in some ways they have flown by. I have learned so much though, and have grown in many ways, and Ken and I are learning to be parents… we’re learning patience, we’re learning to be flexible, and we are settling in to our new normal.
There is no way I could possibly sum up what we have been through in the past 7 and a half weeks since having a baby and watching her grow up and develop is indescribable. The emotions associated with being a new mom are ones that you experience at no other time in your life, so I can’t really describe the whole experience. For now I will leave you with some cute pictures! And I will promise to try to find more time to blog in the future… though I can’t promise my blog posts will be very deep and profound. At some point I will sit down and write about the emotions and the feelings associated with being a new mom but for now they are so overwhelming and enormous that I couldn’t do them justice.
